Job description

Veterinary Ophthalmology Specialty Referral Clinic seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Location: Murrieta, CA 92562

We are a busy single veterinarian specialty referral clinic looking to expand our team with place for a motivated, high energy, positive, experienced team player that is proficient in a busy clinical setting, able to stay focused and on task in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking to prioritize duties.

Veterinary Assistant Tasks include: performing routine eye tests on patients, exam room preparation; communicating with clients to promote compliance with treatment plans; data entry in medical and exam records, lab sample collection and processing; the ability to work calmly and safely with animals of various species including exotic pets and horses if needed, safe animal restraint; assisting with patient preparation for surgical patients; operating room set up; anesthetic monitoring; surgical instrument care and sterilization; medication refills and prescriptions. In patient care and husbandry. Maintaining hospital hygiene.

Requirements: Complete 3-month probation/ training period prior to receiving benefits and any pay increases.

Salary: Pay commensurate with work skills and experience. 

·         Lower-level $17.00/hour. Upper-level TBD.

Essentials:
