Travel agents assist clients by setting up their travel accommodations. You collaborate with clients to determine the best travel destination and present them with available dates, costs, and itineraries. Travel agents also compile and sell tour packages as suggestions to clients, helping them make all of the tough decisions. Your responsibilities also include customer satisfaction and problem resolution in terms of their booking and scheduling duties.

Ongoing support typically includes access to webinars, industry certifications, and regular team meetings to ensure you stay updated on travel trends and tools. This structure helps you build confidence and develop the necessary skills to succeed in the role.

These individuals often start their careers by undergoing training, either through travel agencies, online courses, or certification programs. Many companies hire entry-level travel agents and provide on-the-job training to help them learn about booking travel, customer service, and the use of travel reservation systems. No experience travel agents typically assist clients in planning and booking vacations, flights, hotels, and other travel arrangements while building their expertise over time.
