Job Title: Mold Processor III - 3rd Shift
Schedule: Sunday- Thursday 11:15PM- 7:45AM
Facility location: Charlestown, NH
Details:
The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for performing mold changes, machine setups, and process adjustments to support high-volume production. This role involves troubleshooting machine issues, optimizing processes, and ensuring consistent part quality. We are seeking candidates at all experience levels - from entry-level (Level 1) with no prior experience to highly skilled technicians (Level 5). We provide structured training and development opportunities to help employees grow through the technician levels
Mold Changes & Setup:
• Perform mold changes according to production schedules and setup sheets.
• Safely remove and install molds using cranes, hoists, and other equipment.
• Ensure proper mold alignment, waterlines, and electrical connections during setup.
• Start up machines and verify correct mold installation and part quality.
Process Adjustments & Optimization:
• Set up, operate, and fine-tune injection molding machines to meet production and quality standards.
• Adjust machine parameters to maintain consistent cycle times, part quality, and process stability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve processing issues (e.g., flash, short shots, burns).
• Develop and document optimized setup sheets using scientific molding principles.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
• Diagnose and fix machine issues related to hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Communicate with maintenance and tool room teams to resolve mold and machine issues.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure proper care of molds and tooling.
Training & Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in and provide feedback for technician training programs.
• Collaborate with engineers and tool design teams to improve mold and part performance.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and setup sheets.
• Train and mentor other technicians and mold changers as experience increases.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required - willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mold schematics, and process sheets.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Applies basic and some intermediate skills to perform functions in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to the position within assigned area
Education:
  • High School diploma and or equivalent preferred but not required.

Physical demands & Abilities:
  • Able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Position will require sitting, walking, or standing for at least 40 hours per week.
  • Regularly performs repetitive task.
  • Able to stand for entire shift.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as most of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
