Early weeks typically involve shadowing experienced staff to observe customer interactions, food handling, and teamwork. You'll likely start with simpler tasks, such as clearing tables or taking drink orders, gradually moving to full table service as your confidence grows. Embracing feedback and staying organized will help you quickly adapt to the fast-paced environment.

Do servers really make $2 an hour?

No, servers typically do not make $2 an hour; their earnings mainly come from tips, which can significantly increase their total income. Therefore, actual hourly earnings depend on tips received and local wage laws.
