Job Summary

The Security Guard position is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of the company's employees, visitors, and associated property. This role calls for an individual with a professional yet approachable personality who can make sound decisions with limited supervision. The Security Guard is required to patrol, respond to safety and security threats, and establish a security presence. The security department also functions as a front-facing customer service representative for Bradford Marine and must always be polite and professional and maintain good customer relations.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Protect the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
  • Monitoring alarms and surveillance systems
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
  • Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security-related situations
  • Provides any needed assistance to customers, employees, and visitors following the department's procedures 
  • Greeting visitors, checking them in, and directing them to the appropriate department
  • May perform duties during required coverage as assigned 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the security department manager

Education, Work Experience, Licenses, and Certificates
