Job description

Part-Time Staff RN in Operating Room

Provides professional nursing care pre-operatively and intra-operatively. Acts as circulating nurse and scrub nurse. Performs specified duties for the set-up and maintenance of surgical areas, equipment and instruments. Performs RN duties in all service line areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license from NC or compact state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Required to demonstrate age-specific competency for patients, ranging from adult to geriatric.

Preferred: BSN, MSN

Experience: No experience required, but at least one year of hospital nursing experience in critical care unit or operating room preferred.

Routine Schedule: Will work at least (1) 12-hr shift per week and cover two weekends of call each month.
