What is no experience remote captioning?

No experience remote captioning refers to entry-level jobs where individuals create real-time or recorded text captions for audio or video content from a remote location, without needing prior professional experience. Captioners listen to audio and transcribe the spoken words, ensuring accuracy and proper grammar. Many employers provide on-the-job training, so beginners can learn the required skills as they work. This role is ideal for those with strong typing abilities, good listening skills, and a reliable internet connection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a no experience remote captioner?

To thrive as a No Experience Remote Captioner, you need excellent English language proficiency, strong listening skills, and fast, accurate typing abilities, typically without the need for prior professional experience or formal education. Familiarity with basic word processing software and captioning platforms, such as Rev or Otter.ai, is helpful for completing assignments efficiently. Attention to detail, time management, and reliability are essential soft skills that help ensure captions are delivered accurately and on schedule. These skills and qualities are crucial for meeting client expectations, maintaining quality, and succeeding in the fast-paced remote captioning industry.

What are some common challenges faced by newcomers in remote captioning roles, and how can they overcome them?

Newcomers to remote captioning often find it challenging to keep up with fast-paced audio or video content while maintaining high accuracy. Additionally, managing distractions in a home environment and developing familiarity with captioning software can be initial hurdles. To overcome these challenges, it's helpful to practice active listening skills, set up a dedicated and quiet workspace, and take advantage of online tutorials or community forums related to captioning tools. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Remote (Georgia)
We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide remote Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and families throughout Georgia. This is currently a fully remote position. However, as state regulations continue to evolve, the role may transition to a hybrid model in the future, with advance notice provided to clinicians.

  • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized ABA treatment plans

  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to support treatment goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ethical and clinical standards

  • Eligible for or currently holding Georgia Behavior Analyst licensure (or willingness to obtain)
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Experience providing ABA services to individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
Compensation
  • Up to $93/hour
  • Rates are negotiable based on experience
Benefits
  • Currently a fully remote position
  • Opportunity to continue working with a growing, clinician-focused organization
  • Flexible scheduling
  • No minimum or maximum caseload requirements
  • No non-compete agreements
  • LBA Expansion Program with support and reimbursement for additional state licensure
  • Dedicated BCBA Success Manager for ongoing clinical and professional support

Please note: This position is currently remote. If Georgia regulations require additional in-person services in the future, the role may transition to a hybrid model in accordance with state requirements.
