Job description

Maintenance Lead | A Steadier, Better-Run Shop + $7,000 Sign-On Bonus | Milwaukee, WI

If you're an experienced maintenance pro ready for a steadier, better-run operation, with the support and tools to lead well, come see what Palermo's is building.

We're investing in our maintenance team and moving from reactive repairs toward planned, predictive maintenance. That means a shift that runs on a plan, the tools to do the job right, and the backing to lead your people well. If you've been holding a chaotic shop together with not enough support, this is a better place to lead.

What you'll do:
  • Lead and support a shift team of technicians, keeping lines running at 98%+ uptime.
  • Bring structure and a steady hand to the shift, and develop your techs along the way.
  • Stay hands-on with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting (PLCs, VFDs, servos, robotics).
  • Help drive the move to predictive maintenance so the work gets more planned over time.
You'll do your best work here if you:
  • Have solid hands-on industrial maintenance experience, including leading or mentoring others.
  • Want a stable, well-run shop and a real day off midweek.
  • Lead through trust and steadiness, not noise.
  • Are technically strong and disciplined about detail and safety.
Pay: From $40/hr plus weekend and holiday premiums, a $7,000 sign-on bonus, a $5.00/hr off-shift premium, and a $50 monthly cell phone reimbursement.Schedule:

Hiring on all shifts: 1st (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), 2nd (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.), and 3rd (10:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m.). Enjoy a predictable rotating schedule with every other weekend off and built-in overtime opportunities as part of your regular schedule.

Perks:
  • 20 free pizzas a month.
  • Free uniforms and reimbursement for safety shoes, prescription safety glasses, and tools.
  • Benefits start the 1st of the month after hire. 401(k) and Roth with company match, fully vested the 1st of the month after hire.
  • 3 weeks Paid Time Off and Floating Holiday
  • On-the-job training, career growth, and relocation assistance if applicable.
Who you'll work for:

Family-owned since 1964, Palermo's grew from Papa Palermo's Sicilian recipes into a leader in private label and contract frozen pizza. Our Villa Palermo plant in the Menomonee River Valley runs an on-site bakery, robotic packaging, and 24-hour shipping. Your team is what keeps it all moving.
