Future Opening: Plastic surgery nurse/working manager with experience wanted

Plastic surgery nurse/working manager with experience wanted to join our upscale, highโ€‘quality plastic surgery practice committed to excellence, safety, and superior customer service.

Unique opportunity to work with a board certified, fellowship trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has performed more than 10,000 procedures over his 30+ years of practice. Experience and training in injectables, laser treatments and other medical spa treatments a plus.

Compensation will be appropriate for the ideal candidate. Potential for training and education in the workplace for the ideal person.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in all aspects of a high-quality plastic surgery practice
  • Assist with preop preparation of patients
  • Supervise back office flow, efficiency, patient management
  • Perform, assist, and direct back office tasks such as drain removal, suture care, incision evaluation and management, scar minimizing procedures, injections
  • Demonstrate interest and enthusiasm in educating patients about the perioperative process
  • Assist with screening and interviewing potential patients in consultation
  • Assist with preoperative history and physicals
  • Demonstration of ability to bond with sometimes anxious patients is mandatory
  • Dedication to lifelong learning, improvement, certification, and qualifications a must
  • Assist with HR duties, additional staff selection and hiring and management etc.
  • Perform safety officer duties for high quality top notch surgery through adherence to all infection control protocols for the safety of patients and staff
  • Assist MD with minor office surgery performed under local with oral relaxation meds
Experience/Ability in the Following a Plus
  • Perform non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures such as Botox and filler injections, laser treatments and other medical spa procedures as supervised by MD
  • Assist with perioperative process, scrub with MD and outside facilities such as surgery centers and hospital ambulatory surgical facilities
  • Assist, direct, and evaluate social media presence, and high-quality discreet marketing to the desired demographic set of patients
Potential for Future Growth
  • Assist or direct certification process for AAAASF in office operatory, assist with surgery and circulate, start IVs, and give conscious sedation medications as directed by physician, monitor patient vital signs according to high quality and standards of excellence
  • Assist and direct proper recordkeeping and documentation
  • Administer, replenish, and stock controlled substances
  • Assist with overseas missions caring for children with cleft lips and palates in many developing countries
