Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Inova Loudoun Surgery Center is currently seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is Full-Time. The ideal candidate will have strong experience to support both PreOp/PACU.

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility providing cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment. We are located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.

Work Schedule:

  • Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

What You'll Do:

  • Care for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia
  • Monitor and chart vital signs, such as heart or respiratory rate, blood pressure, or oxygen level
  • Comfort patients as they wake; may be required to gently restrain patients
  • Check surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling
  • Educate patients on care for the surgical wound or other post-discharge care.
  • Cross-train to work in PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unit

Experience You'll Need:

  • One or more years of PACU/Critical Care nursing experience in an ambulatory surgery setting or acute hospital
  • Prior PreOp and PostOp experience in an ASC is strongly desired
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing institution
  • Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS/PALS certification preferred within six (6) months of date of hire
