Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Packer/Inspector to work 2nd shift (2:45 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. Monday - Thursday) in our brand-new facility. 2nd shift Packer/Inspectors at Flexco typically start between $18.00 - $22.00/hour or more, depending on skills, education and experience.

Packer/Inspector

The hours will be: 2:45 p.m. to 1:15  a.m. Monday – Thursday

Location:  Grand Rapids                                 

Department:  Hook Room                 

Purpose:  To inspect and pack parts, assuring only good quality products are packed.

What you will need:

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years in inspection or packing position.
  • Basic understanding of reports
  • The ability to:
    • Lift floor to shoulder 20 lbs.
    • Push a maximum of 60 ft.
    • Reach less than 18 inches.
    • Sit majority of day.
    • Manage your own workload

What you will be doing:

  • Inspect and pack parts or miscellaneous products as directed.
  • Adhere to efficiency expectations
  • Operate box folding machines.
  • Complete all paperwork and/or documentation as required.
  • Ensure stock levels are managed and inventory is accurate.
  • Participate in the suggestion system and Continuous Improvement programs as required.
  • Requires several concerted routines and activities.
  • Plans, organizes and prioritizes own work.
  • Performs work which requires routine independent decisions.
  • Job instructions are readily available for assigned work
