Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Driller to help us grow our operation serving New England. In this position you will operate a geotechnical and environmental test boring rig based at our Riverside, Rhode Island office. Job Requirements
This is a full time position, primarily M-F schedule. Candidate will operate a rotary test boring rig, and drive a truck and trailer to haul the rig and equipment. Tasks include safely operating the drill rig, including soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, installing monitoring wells, installation of instrumentation, and basic maintenance of heavy equipment including drill rigs, medium and heavy duty trucks, trailers and ATV.


  • Prior experience operating a test boring rig or similar heavy equipment.
  • Requires a current Class A CDL license and acceptable driving record.
  • Full time position, primarily M-F work.
  • Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Position will require regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with some overnight stays.
  • Must be proficient with basic math and measurements necessary for drilling and data collection.
  • Must be able to read and write to record observations, safety information, vehicle logs and related tasks.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and/or tablet and smartphone, including applications and software related to job tasks.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer. We are not able to sponsor employment Visas at this time.


Education Requirements


  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island hoisting license preferred
