These roles often include positions such as roustabout, roughneck, or general laborer, where on-the-job training is provided. Workers perform basic tasks to support the rig's operation, such as cleaning, maintenance, and assisting more experienced crew members. Familiarity with safety equipment, hand tools, and completion of certifications like H2S Alive or Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) are commonly required.
