Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated, experienced Shop Welder to join our team. This position is based primarily in our fabrication shop in Watford City, ND, where you'll fabricate, repair, and manufacture metal parts and equipment used to support our operations.
As a valued member of the TTK Enterprises, LLC team, the Shop Welder is responsible for completing welding and fabrication projects according to production schedules while achieving quality, efficiency, and safety objectives. The ideal candidate will construct and manufacture metal parts and products, producing clean, high-quality welds while following blueprints and fabrication drawings. Responsibilities include measuring materials, fitting and assembling components, and ensuring all completed work meets company quality standards.
This role is best suited for individuals who enjoy fabrication, equipment repair, and hands-on shop work in a team-oriented environment.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform general shop welding and fabrication with minimal supervision.
  • Fabricate, repair, and modify equipment, trailers, truck bodies, and metal components in a shop environment.
  • Inspect, measure, and test completed welds and fabricated components to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Read blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production schedules to determine project requirements.
  • Fabricate metal parts for assembly and identify the appropriate materials needed to complete each project.
  • Lay out, fit, and assemble parts using proper welding techniques and fabrication methods.
  • Assist other fabricators and shop personnel as needed and complete special projects assigned by management.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly maintaining shop equipment, tools, and supplies.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of shop welding processes, including MIG and TIG welding, metal fabrication, grinding, and finishing.
  • Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and standard welding symbols.
  • Experience using shop fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, presses, ironworkers, and other fabrication tools is preferred.
  • Understanding that this position is a shop-based fabrication role and not a rig welding or field welding position.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and timekeeping software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and customers through speaking, reading, writing, and listening.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a drug screen, MVR check, and background check in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of welding and fabrication experience in a shop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing shop.
  • Experience fabricating equipment used in the oil and gas, construction, trucking, or heavy equipment industries.
