Outside Sales Representative - Welding Maintenance/Repairs

With Rockmount you will be selling the highest-performing consumables on the market for maintenance and repair welding. With Optrel Welding Hoods and respiratory equipment, you will provide your customers with the most innovative welding helmets and safety equipment. Rockmount’s training and technical backing are second to none, providing you with everything you need to make a great living selling welding supplies and industrial solutions.


We have proven products and a 52-year history in the industrial world. This role allows you to develop longlasting customer relationships and provide the best problem-solving and technical support to the people that you serve. We call on customers from a broad range of industries, including heavy construction, mining, municipal, logistics, farming, food production, and many more. As a Rockmount Representative, your customers are anyone who has something that breaks.


Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle willing to use for work purposes.
  • Proven sales experience is a plus (but not required). We’re looking for individuals with an
  • Entrepreneurial, go-getter mindset who are money-motivated and enjoy the flexibility of owning their schedule/client book.
  • Previous experience in welding/mechanical is a plus, but not required. We will teach you everything there is to know!
  • Must be eligible to pass a background check.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. and must not require work visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong sales skills, including persuasion, negotiation, and relationship building. Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Local Travel: Must be willing to travel within 2-3+ hours of your location. No in-office attendance is needed.


Compensation: 100% uncapped commission. Average reps earn $50,000-$80,000 first year, with $100,000-$150,000+ a few years into their career! Our top rep is currently earning $200,000+.
