What you’ll do 

As a  Machine Operator, you’ll be at the heart of operations: right on the floor where materials take shape. Your day-to-day: 

  • Assist the operator with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers 
  • Troubleshoot machine and process issues, making adjustments as needed to maintain production quality and efficiency
  • Prepare and stage materials, ensuring load tags match production orders 
  • Monitor product quality during feeding and production processes 
  • Maintain continuous workflow by handling pallets and material movement 
  • Adjust machine components and clear jams to support smooth operation 
  • Support cleaning, basic maintenance, and safety procedures (including lockout/tagout) 
  • Communicate issues promptly and keep the work area clean and organized 
  • Use SAP/electronic systems for inventory tracking and reporting 

Your strengths as a Machine Operator: 

You are a natural fit for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years operating and setting up production machinery
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with ability to read and write in English 
  • Ability to understand technical documents (spec sheets, printing instructions) and learn machine operations
  • Strong soft skills: attention to detail, adaptability, teamwork, communication, time management, and commitment to health and safety 
  • Manufacturing/industrial experience, including feeder or stacker operations (an asset) 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment such as laminators/Asitrade, and/ or flatbed die cutters (an asset)
  • Ability to learn and gain required knowledge of machine operations and controls 
  • Proficiency with computers (PC literacy) and basic systems knowledge 
  • Good mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
