Job description

Machine Operator – Packaging / Filling Equipment | 2nd Shift

Experienced Machine Operators Needed

Location: Lewisville, TX
Schedule: 2nd Shift | 4:30 PM–3:00 AM
Pay: $20.00–$22.00/hour

Keep Wellness Moving — Join Our Team as an Experienced Machine Operator!

Power Production. Protect Quality. Make an Impact.

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the natural wellness industry to hire experienced Machine Operators for a fast-paced packaging and manufacturing operation.

This position requires previous hands-on experience operating manufacturing or packaging machinery. We are specifically seeking candidates who have been responsible for machine setup, operation, product changeovers, equipment adjustments, quality inspections, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.

Candidates with experience in food, beverage, bottling, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or other regulated consumer packaged goods manufacturing environments are strongly preferred.

This is not a general warehouse, picker/packer, or entry-level production position.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and performance of assigned packaging equipment while maintaining production, quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor sleever, hot-fill, liquid, powder, filling, or related packaging equipment.

  • Prepare machines, components, and materials for scheduled production runs.

  • Perform machine startup procedures and verify equipment is properly set before beginning production.

  • Monitor machine performance, production rates, and finished-product quality throughout the run.

  • Perform product and machine changeovers, including equipment breakdown, cleaning, assembly, and setup for the next product.

  • Make basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot minor operational issues, jams, or equipment faults.

  • Partner with Maintenance when equipment problems require advanced mechanical or electrical repair.

  • Perform in-process quality inspections, including verification of product codes, expiration dates, labels, seals, weights, counts, and overall package quality.

  • Complete batch records, production paperwork, and other required documentation accurately.

  • Follow GMP, GDP, SOP, sanitation, safety, and quality procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production area.

  • Communicate equipment, production, and quality concerns promptly to supervisors and appropriate support teams.

What We're Looking ForRequired Experience

To be considered, candidates should have:

  • 2+ years of hands-on machine operation experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.

  • Previous responsibility for setting up and operating production machinery, not simply loading/unloading materials or packing finished products.

  • Hands-on experience performing machine setups, product changeovers, adjustments, or equipment cleaning.

  • Experience monitoring machinery and identifying or troubleshooting minor equipment problems.

  • Experience performing quality inspections during production.

  • Ability to complete production paperwork, batch records, or other manufacturing documentation accurately.

  • Ability to follow established SOPs, safety procedures, and quality requirements.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing/walking for extended periods.

  • Ability to work the full 2nd-shift schedule of 4:30 PM–3:00 AM.

Strongly Preferred

We are especially interested in Machine Operators with experience in:

  • Food or beverage manufacturing

  • Bottling or filling operations

  • Nutraceutical or supplement manufacturing

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing

  • Cosmetics/personal-care manufacturing

  • Consumer packaged goods (CPG)

  • High-speed automated packaging lines

  • GMP-regulated manufacturing environments

Experience operating equipment such as fillers, sleevers, hot-fill equipment, labelers, cappers, case packers, baggers, sealers, wrappers, conveyors, checkweighers, or similar automated packaging machinery is highly desirable.

Who This Position Is Best Suited For

This opportunity is designed for an experienced Machine Operator who has personally been responsible for running production equipment and understands what it takes to keep a manufacturing line operating safely, efficiently, and within quality specifications.

If your experience has primarily been in general warehouse work, picking/packing, shipping/receiving, forklift operation, material handling, or general production labor without hands-on machine operation, this position may not be the right match.

Why Join Us?

At PDS Tech Commercial, you'll support a respected leader in the natural wellness industry where quality, safety, sanitation, and operational excellence are critical to every product manufactured.

This is an opportunity to bring your existing machine-operation experience to a team where your ability to set up equipment, perform changeovers, maintain production standards, troubleshoot minor issues, and protect product quality will make an immediate impact.

Ready for Your Next Machine Operator Opportunity?

If you have proven machine operation and packaging experience and are ready to bring those skills to a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.

Apply today to be considered for this 2nd-shift Machine Operator opportunity in Lewisville, TX.
