Job description

AOM Infusion is a national home infusion therapy pharmacy with licenses in all 50 states, expanding into ambulatory infusion centers (AICs) across a growing multi-state network. Our AICs are designed to deliver specialty infusion therapies in a patient-centered, clinically sophisticated outpatient environment focused on safety, access, and operational excellence.
As we continue scaling our ambulatory infusion platform, AOM is seeking experienced and entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners to serve as both clinical leaders and direct patient care providers within our infusion centers. This role is ideal for clinicians who thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment and are excited to help shape the future of ambulatory infusion care delivery.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Infusion Nurse Practitioner serves as the clinical lead for one or more ambulatory infusion centers within a defined market. This role combines direct patient care, infusion oversight, operational partnership, and clinical leadership responsibilities in support of AOM's expanding AIC network.
The NP will perform patient assessments, oversee infusion therapies, administer infusions as appropriate, supervise infusion nursing staff, and support day-to-day clinical operations across assigned centers. As the market grows, the NP may also provide remote clinical supervision and support to satellite locations in accordance with state law, CMS and payer compliance, and organizational protocols.
This is a highly collaborative role working closely with market operations leadership, local medical directors, infusion nurses, intake teams, pharmacy operations, and executive leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient patient care delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Care & Patient Oversight

  • Perform patient evaluations, assessments, and clinical clearances for infusion therapy services
  • Administer and oversee specialty infusion therapies in accordance with physician orders, payer requirements, and clinical protocols
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient diagnosis and therapy-specific needs
  • Monitor patients during infusion treatment and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergent clinical situations
  • Initiate emergency procedures as necessary within scope of practice, alerting appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed
  • Provide ongoing clinical oversight of infusion nursing activities within assigned centers
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is completed accurately and in real time, in compliance with organizational, state, and payer requirements
  • Collaborate with supervising/collaborating physicians (Local Medical Directors) as required by state law
  • Support clinical escalation management and participate in quality reviews, root cause analyses, and patient safety initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable infusion standards, emergency preparedness protocols, and infection prevention practices
  • Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary information, including strict adherence to HIPAA regulations
Market & Operational Leadership
  • Serve as a clinical leader and culture carrier within the market
  • Partner closely with operational leadership to support center growth, staffing alignment, and clinical workflow optimization
  • Assist with onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing development of infusion RNs and other clinical staff
  • Support implementation of standardized workflows, protocols, and best practices across multiple locations
  • Participate in market growth activities including new center launches, workflow design, and operational readiness planning
  • Provide flexible coverage across multiple infusion centers within the assigned market
  • Support remote supervision models where appropriate and permissible as the AIC network scales
Compliance & Clinical Governance
  • Maintain compliance with all state collaborative practice, licensure, and supervision requirements
  • Support chart review, audit preparation, accreditation readiness, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Participate in the review and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and infusion protocols
  • Escalate clinical concerns, safety events, or operational risks through appropriate organizational channels
  • Document all required supervisory, clinical, and compliance activities accurately and consistently
Licensure Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in applicable state(s)
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred
  • Eligible to practice independently or under collaborative/supervisory agreement consistent with state law
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical NP experience preferred
  • Prior ambulatory infusion, outpatient infusion center, specialty infusion, or home infusion experience required
  • Experience supervising or mentoring RNs or clinical teams strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, multi-site healthcare environment
  • Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and patient communication abilities
  • Ability to travel locally within assigned market and provide coverage across multiple sites as needed
  • Comfortable utilizing EMR systems, remote communication platforms, and distributed clinical workflows
