Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Days
Pay: $2424/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Infusion Center Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This role is based in a 15-bed, community cancer center. The RN is responsible for the direct care and specialized treatment of oncology patients, requiring expert venipuncture skills, meticulous monitoring for adverse reactions, and detailed documentation. This position offers a highly desirable weekday schedule with no mandatory weekends, holidays, or calls.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications to patients diagnosed with various malignancies, including breast cancer, lung cancer, and all other cancers.
  • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6.
  • Titrate chemotherapy medications when necessary (though this is rare). Utilize Hospira IV Infusion pumps.
  • Conduct close patient monitoring during infusions. The unit does not have telemetry or require RNs to read cardiac strips.
  • Work closely with the Charge Nurse and the unit's Medical Assistant (MA) (1 MA to support the team).
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of all administered care, infusions, and patient responses using the Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR.

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in Washington.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certifications.
  • 1-2 years of recent chemotherapy infusion experience is a MUST.
  • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) is a great asset but not required.
  • COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
