Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology Location:6957 W Plano Pkwy Suite 2000 Plano Texas 75093 United States Schedule:M-F 85 About the Opportunity We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading oncology practice. In this role, you will provide high-quality infusion therapy to oncology and hematology patients while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with infusion experience who enjoys building relationships with patients while working in a specialized outpatient oncology environment. Responsibilities Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans. Prepare and administer physician-ordered infusion therapies, including: Chemotherapy Immunotherapy IVIG Iron Infusions Hydration Therapy Administer medications and blood products using established safety protocols. Monitor patients before, during, and after infusions while assessing for adverse reactions. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central venous access devices. Review laboratory results and assist physicians with dose modifications based on treatment protocols. Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and symptom management. Ensure prior authorizations and required consent forms are completed before treatment when applicable. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and charge capture. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide coordinated patient care. Follow all company policies, nursing standards, HIPAA requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Active, unrestricted RN license in the practicing state. Minimum 1 year of RN infusion experience treating patients with chronic illnesses. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Oncology or chemotherapy infusion experience. Experience administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, iron infusions, and hydration therapy.
