You may be asked to help refine existing illustrations, prepare digital assets, or contribute to brainstorming sessions. Many employers provide mentorship, on-the-job training, and access to design resources to help you learn new techniques and software. Collaboration is common, so you'll frequently interact with art directors, graphic designers, and project managers. These experiences are designed to help you quickly build your portfolio and confidence while gaining practical knowledge in a supportive environment.

These competencies help you grow your abilities, effectively translate client ideas visually, and collaborate well with other team members or clients.

Are no experience illustrators still in demand?
