Position Overview
US Ghost Adventures is seeking enthusiastic and engaging Ghost Hunt Tour Guides to lead nighttime paranormal investigations at the historic McInteer Villa in Atchison, KS. In this role, you will lead groups through haunted rooms and historic property areas, manage and distribute paranormal investigation equipment, and deliver a thrilling, immersive guest experience. The ideal candidate thrives in spooky environments and excels at group leadership, guest safety, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead groups of guests through designated historic rooms and property grounds during 2-hour evening ghost hunts (typically scheduled from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM).
  • Distribute, demonstrate, and assist guests with ghost-hunting equipment, including EMF meters, spirit boxes, and infrared cameras.
  • Ensure guest safety, property navigation, and group comfort while maintaining an atmospheric, respectful, and immersive paranormal investigation.
  • Monitor group dynamics and manage event pacing to sustain suspense, curiosity, and guest engagement throughout the tour.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues during tours and ensure gear remains in proper working condition.
Position Requirements:
  • Comfortable working in dimly lit, or spooky historical environments.
  • Strong public speaking, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage groups.
  • Availability to work late evening shifts (9:00 PM to 11:00 PM), weekends, and peak seasonal periods (including October and the Halloween season).
  • Basic interest in or familiarity with ghost-hunting equipment and paranormal investigation techniques (full training provided).
