Job description

Job Title: Full-Time Driver / General Laborer

Company: Southern Roofing Solutions

Location: Beaumont, TX (Serving the Golden Triangle area)

Pay Rate: $23.00 / hour

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us

Southern Roofing Solutions is a trusted, family-owned local roofing contractor dedicated to keeping Southeast Texas homes safe and secure. We take pride in our high quality of work, clean job sites, and reliable service. We are looking for a dependable, hard-working Full-Time Driver and General Laborer to join our Beaumont-area production crew and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be the backbone of our job site logistics. You will pull double duty: safely driving your personal vehicle and company equipment to and from local job sites, and working alongside our roofing crews to assist with material staging, site setup, and thorough post-job cleanup.

What You'll Do

  • Driving & Logistics: Safely operate company trucks, transport materials, haul trailers, and manage job site equipment (including specialized debris management tools like our Equipter system). (Must have your own 4x4 Truck that is able to pull a trailer)
  • Material Staging: Load, unload, and safely move heavy roofing materials (shingles, underlayment, tools) around the job site.
  • Site Preparation & Safety: Help set up ladders, safety equipment, and ground protection before roofing teardowns begin.
  • Debris & Cleanup: Maintain a highly organized job site during production. Run ground cleanup, ensuring all old shingles, nails, and construction debris are completely cleared out so the customer's property looks perfect.
  • Crew Support: Assist the roofing technicians and project managers with miscellaneous ground tasks as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a clean driving record and feel completely comfortable driving larger pickup trucks and towing/backing up material trailers.
  • Physical Stamina: This is a demanding, outdoor role. You must be able to comfortably lift up to 50–80 lbs regularly and work on your feet in the Texas heat.
  • Reliability & Punctuality: Our crews can't build if the materials and equipment aren't there. We need someone who shows up on time, every day, ready to hustle.
  • Team Player Mindset: A positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand wherever it's needed on the job site.
  • Previous experience in construction, roofing labor, or professional driving/delivery is preferred, but we will train anyone with the right work ethic.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: A steady $23.00 an hour with consistent, full-time hours.
  • Stipend: $1,500 provided a month.
  • Local Routes: You will be operating right here in the Beaumont, Silsbee, and surrounding Golden Triangle community—no long-haul traveling.
  • Great Crew Culture: Work with a respected, highly-skilled local team that treats its employees like family.
