Position: General Labor
Work Location: Ontario, CA 91758
Payrate: $24.00/hr on W2
Duration: 3+ months with higher chances of extension or conversion
Shift: General Shift
 
Job Description
  • Walk and/or push company-provided proprietary sensors in a grid pattern across designated work areas, following supervisor instructions and confirming completed areas.
  • Place transmitters at assigned locations.
  • Open manholes and lower lightweight equipment into them without entering the manholes.
  • Move, pack, maintain, and prepare proprietary sensors for transportation to other project locations.
Qualifications:
  • No previous experience in utility locating or civil infrastructure is required.
  • Basic understanding of construction-site safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work hard, follow instructions, and learn under supervision.
 
Personal Protective Equipment:
Workers must provide their own required PPE, including
  • Approved eye protection
  • Class E hard hat
  • Flame-resistant, high-visibility Class 2 CAT 2 safety vest
  • Leather composite-toe work boots or shoes
  • Work gloves
  • Flame-resistant CAT 2 pants
  • Flame-resistant CAT 2 shirt
  • Training and Reimbursement
The company will reimburse workers, upon submission of a properly completed invoice, for
  • Time spent completing the required SCE Online Substation Training
  • Mileage for commuting to and from the project site at $0.725 per mile
All workers must complete the required five-hour online certification before arriving at the job site. Completion of the certification is mandatory before performing services and receiving travel-expense reimbursement.
 
Job-specific training will be provided on the first day of work and throughout the duration of the assignment.
