This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin,Office of Data Analytics. As a Data Analytic Manager, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical products of the team. Assignments support customers in their oversight of complex tax administration programs, systems, or processes that have nationwide impact. The incumbent has overall management of his/her team and directs the assignments and reviews of the work of subordinates.

As a Data Analytic Manager, you will:
- Assign work to subordinates based on the nature of the work to be performed, priorities, selective consideration of task difficulty and the capabilities of employees.
- Maintain knowledge of IRS programs and operations, information systems, legislative history, and internal control systems sufficient to plan and oversee proactive data analytic studies/identify risks.
- Provide consulting services to assist customers in planning their data analytic activities for projects.
- Supervise a subordinate individual or team to plan, perform, coordinate and execute the most critical data analytic assignments to support projects encompassing the entire spectrum of IRS programs, projects and activities that often cross several operational functions.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal serviceSpecialized Experience for this position includes:
- Designing, executing, and overseeing data analysis projects and studies that are necessary for mission-critical work; AND
- Researching and evaluating new procedures, laws, regulations, and analytic tools; AND
- Communicating the status and results of data analysis activities and resource use through effective written and oral communication.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must meet proficiency levels in each of the following competencies:
Decision Making, Information Management, Oral Communication, Problem Solving, and Technical Competence.
A Structured Interview may be used to determine if you meet the required proficiency levels.
You will be interviewed in person/by phone/virtually about past experience or hypothetical situations.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (CONTINUED):
