As an OTR Driver, you will be expected to:

  • Operate and maintain a company vehicle to deliver finished products to external customers safely, on time and following company policies and government regulations within a defined geographic delivery area.
  • Provide excellent service to our customers, representing Carpenter Co. in a positive and professional manner.
  • Unload product at the customer's location as specified in the delivery order.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have a Class A CDL including Manual Transmission Endorsement, but no experience required.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must adhere to all DOT Regulations and practice safe driving techniques.
  • Must maintain accurate paperwork and electronic DOT logs.
  • Must unload finished product at each destination as required.
  • Must be able to lift carpet cushion rolls weighing 50 to 90 lbs. each.
  • Must follow all Carpenter Co. rules to include safety regulations, attendance and personal conduct.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.

Additional Information:

  • Drivers are paid for all hours worked-Mileage-Hourly-Unloading Pay-Meals
  • We also have Profit Sharing and a great Benefit Package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and paid time off (Vacation and Holidays).
  • Salary 1st year average is $88,000 and higher for Road Drivers!
  • Sign on Bonus and/or tuition payback details will be discussed in person
