Electrical Apprentice – Multifamily Construction


Location: Gurnee, IL

Pay: $23.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are hiring Electrical Apprentices to assist with electrical installation on a multifamily construction project in Gurnee, Illinois.

The primary focus of this position will be measuring, bending, installing, and running EMT conduit. This is a strong opportunity for electrical apprentices who have commercial or multifamily construction experience and want to continue developing their skills.


Responsibilities
  • Measure, bend, cut, and install EMT conduit
  • Assist with installing electrical boxes, supports, and related materials
  • Pull wire and assist with electrical rough-in work
  • Read basic measurements and follow project layouts
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and conduit-bending equipment
  • Follow instructions from journeymen and project supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area


Qualifications
  • Previous electrical construction experience preferred
  • Experience running or bending EMT conduit strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with commercial or multifamily electrical work
  • Ability to use basic electrical and construction tools
  • Ability to work from ladders and perform physical construction work
  • Reliable transportation to the Gurnee jobsite
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Basic hand tools and appropriate work boots required
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required

Compensation

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on electrical experience, conduit-bending ability, tools, and overall qualifications.
