Description
The Division of Computer Science within Clemson University's School of Computing is excited to announce openings for four tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant level. We are looking to enhance and complement our current strengths in the dynamic field of Computer Science. Three positions of our search are focused on candidates with expertise in software engineering; systems and networking; natural language processing and Large Language Models (LLMs); and algorithms/theory. Another position of our search is focused on explainable AI, which is a joint position with Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Devices for the Advancement of Personalized and Transformative Health Care in South Carolina or ADAPT-SC that funded by NSF.
Clemson University, boasting the highest Carnegie research designation (R1), is at the forefront of advancing doctoral programs and strengthening research and scholarly impact, while maintaining the outstanding signature undergraduate experience that is the essence of Clemson. Our commitment to a 21st-century land grant university mission is unwavering.
The School of Computing, amidst its continuous growth, now comprises 39 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, 18 non-tenure track faculty, and a vibrant student community of more than 1,200 undergraduates and over 400 graduate students. The School offers a wide array of degrees at the Baccalaureate, Master's, and Doctorate levels in disciplines including Computer Science, Human-Centered Computing, Digital Production Arts, Biomedical Data Sciences and Informatics, and an interdisciplinary master's program in Systems Engineering.
