Verve, LLC is continuously accepting applications for qualified Medical Coders to support current and future client needs. This is an ongoing recruitment effort, and applications will be reviewed as hiring needs arise.


We are seeking detail-oriented coding professionals with experience coding Outpatient (multispecialty) and Emergency Department encounters. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and compliance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in accordance with official coding guidelines and payer requirements.
  • Review clinical documentation to ensure appropriate code assignment and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Code Outpatient (multispecialty) and Emergency Department encounters in accordance with Official Coding Guidelines and Coding Clinic guidance.
  • Identify documentation deficiencies and communicate coding-related issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the client and organization.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in coding audits, quality reviews, and training activities as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification in one of the following:
    • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
    • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional medical coding experience in a general acute care hospital (inpatient and/or outpatient setting) or multispecialty physician practice.
  • Demonstrated experience coding Outpatient (multispecialty) and Emergency Department encounters.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to coding accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional coding certifications.
  • Experience supporting federal healthcare programs, the Defense Health Agency (DHA), or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
  • Experience with electronic health records and coding software platforms.
