Job description

The Shearer Automotive Group is seeking an experienced auto body technician to join our busy automotive shop, Shearer Autobody. Vermonters have relied on Shearer Autobody for collision assistance, repair and restoration for more than 30 years. Shearer Autobody is conveniently located next to our Volkswagen dealership on Shelburne Road.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Diagnoses cause(s) of any malfunction and performs repair.
  • Communicates with Body Shop Manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Manufacturer Training as required
