Role: JAVA FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Location: North Chicago, IL (Onsite)

 

My client needs top-notch Lead Kubernetes Java Software Engineer – Long-Term Contract Position for 100% Onsite in North Chicago.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work collaboratively with architects, developers, and platform engineers to design, develop, and support Java components that are shared by all microservices. This role will ensure that these components enforce the non-functional qualities of our resilient, always-on, cloud-ready architecture built on RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.

 

Client is migrating now from Spring 2.2 to 3.2, and from Java 8 to Java 17.

 

IMPORTANT:

  • Candidates must have a deep experience in Kubernetes.
  • Experience with in-depth container-based hosting area.
  • Expert in Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • Experience with production grade Kubernetes based microservices development.
  • Kubernetes expertise from day one is an absolute requirement.
  • Hands-on experience with building and deploying services on Kubernetes.
  • Must be very strong with CI/CD Tools. They use GitOps, Argo CD Service Mesh and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • A staff engineer role that demands technical leadership and comprehensive stack knowledge (not necessarily complete expertise).
  • Database experience - Cassandra/DataStax and SQL Server. If no Cassandra, then any NoSQL DBs will be fine.
