Will Cymbalta show up on a drug test?

Cymbalta (duloxetine) is a prescription medication that typically does not show up on standard drug tests, which usually screen for substances like opioids, THC, amphetamines, and benzodiazepines. However, specialized tests can detect duloxetine if specifically requested, so it is unlikely to be identified in routine screenings for most jobs. Employers generally do not test for antidepressants unless there is a specific reason or concern.

Will diazepam fail a drug test?

Diazepam, a medication often prescribed for anxiety or seizures, can cause a positive result on a drug test that screens for benzodiazepines. Job-related drug tests typically detect these substances, so taking diazepam without a medical exemption may result in a failed test. It is important to disclose prescribed medications to testing personnel if applicable.
