Job description

Day to Day Job Duties:  

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, APIs, and automation solutions using Python. 
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects. 
  • Build and support ETL/data integration processes for enterprise applications and analytics platforms. 
  • Collaborate with business users, architects, and development teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions. 
  • Monitor application and database performance and implement performance tuning improvements. 
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production support activities. 
  • Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs and data services. 
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to Agile ceremonies and technical documentation. 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Python application development and SQL programming. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. 
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience developing REST APIs, data integration solutions, and automation frameworks. 
  • Strong expertise in SQL query optimization, database design, indexing, and performance tuning. 
  • Experience with Python frameworks/libraries such as Flask, Fast API, Django, Pandas, or equivalent. 
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. 

Travel: No Travel required. 

Location: New York, Hybrid mode

Degree: Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 

Nice to Have (But not a must):  

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. 
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments. 
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL platforms, or big data technologies. 
  • Technical leadership or project lead experience. 
  • Relevant Python, SQL, or Cloud certifications.
