Job description

JBS International is seeking a high-impact Digital Automation & Solutions Lead to establish and lead a modern digital capability spanning automation, low-code/no-code solutions, data enablement, analytics, and practical AI applications. This is a player-coach leadership role designed for an early-stage environment, where a single leader will define strategy, build governance, and deliver hands-on solutions while scaling a sustainable capability over time. This leader will partner closely with others in the Digital Services and clients-facing business teams to deliver measurable business outcomes through modern digital tools and data-driven solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Player-Coach Leadership & Capability Build

  • Serve as a highly hands-on player-coach, balancing strategic leadership with direct solution design and delivery.

  • Lead by example through active configuration, development, and implementation of business solutions and workflow automations.

  • Translate ambiguous business needs into practical MVPs and scalable operational solutions.

  • Establish and mature the Digital Automation & Solutions as an enterprise capability, including delivery standards, governance, reusable templates, and scalable solution patterns.

  • Mentor and guide internal staff in low-code/no-code solution delivery, workflow design, automation best practices, and solution governance.

  • Define and operationalize scalable intake, prioritization, and delivery approaches for digital solutions and automation initiatives.

  • Help establish a sustainable operating model that supports long-term growth of the capability.

2. Strategy, Solution Design & Delivery

  • Design, build, and implement workflow automation and business solutions using platforms such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Power Platform, and related technologies.

  • Lead end-to-end solution delivery including workflow design, forms, dashboards, reporting, automation, and operational visibility solutions.

  • Develop reusable accelerators, templates, and scalable solution frameworks to enable rapid and consistent delivery.

  • Establish governance and best practices to ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.

  • Partner with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency through process redesign and automation.

  • Support broader adoption of low-code/no-code and workflow automation capabilities across the organization.

3. Data, Analytics & AI Enablement

  • Partner with technical and analytics teams to enable business-facing reporting, dashboards, and operational insights leveraging Snowflake and related tools.

  • Deliver data-driven visibility solutions that support decision-making and program operations.

  • Help establish lightweight data governance, ownership, and quality practices aligned with business needs.

  • Identify and implement practical AI-enabled capabilities that improve workflows and operational effectiveness, such as summarization, workflow intelligence, copilots, and productivity enhancements.

  • Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into business workflows and digital solutions where appropriate and valuable.

  • Collaborate with Applied AI and technical engineering resources to operationalize scalable AI-enabled solutions.

4. Business Partnership & Solution Enablement

  • Rapidly build understanding of JBS business domains and client needs through stakeholder engagement, discovery sessions, and collaborative solutioning workshops.

  • Translate operational and program needs into scalable workflow, automation, and digital solution opportunities.

  • Partner with business development and client-facing teams to support solution strategies for proposals, RFIs, and RFPs.

  • Help position JBS as a leader in practical digital modernization, workflow automation, and AI-enabled operational solutions.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in information technology, computer science or related technology field.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in digital solutions, automation, analytics, data platforms, or solution architecture, with demonstrated hands-on experience building solutions using low-code/workflow platforms such as monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar tools. 5 + years of demonstrated hands-on experience with analytics and data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BI tools, SQL, Salesforce), including designing, building, and integrating data-driven solutions that enhance client workflows through dashboards, reporting, and actionable insights.

Knowledge: Python and SQL programming skills are required. Proven ability to design, build, and implement practical AI use cases (e.g., copilots, workflow intelligence, forecasting, summarization), integrating them into scalable, client-facing digital solutions.

Competencies: Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder enablement skills.

Location: Remote with the consideration that if a candidate lives within a 50-mile radius of our North Bethesda, MD or San Mateo, CA offices, the position will be considered hybrid.

  • Mobility: Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, and bend to access office equipment and attend meetings

  • Work Environment: Primarily works in a typical office environment, with exposure to computer screens and moderate noise levels
