Description

Position Summary:

Leads team collaboration with peer engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers and customers to drive product designs across all phases of the product life cycle. The Electrical Engineer III will assist the Electrical Engineering Supervisor in leading the Electrical engineering team's development, planning and growth.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops products, including RF architecture, PCBAs, interconnects, risk assessment, planning and development documentation, in compliance with the company's Quality Management System requirements.
  • Provides leadership, technical direction and support to engineering team to promptly identify, define and resolve engineering, design and development issues to meet multiple project needs and objectives.
  • Improves capabilities and skills using review processes and aiding in coaching/mentoring.
  • Works with internal and external customers to ensure designs meet manufacturability, service and customer requirements.
  • Initiates and directs problem solving and continuous improvement activities for both development projects and mature products.
  • Communicates with suppliers to understand processes/capabilities, and requirements and troubleshooting.
  • Guides the work of technicians and testers in the development and qualification of new products.
  • Demonstrates full proficiency in all duties and responsibilities of the role and acts as a subject matter expert within a given department according to the established skills competencies.
  • All other duties, as assigned.


Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 6 to 10 years of work experience developing new product designs in similar industry is required; medical device experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of MR physics, pulse sequences and electro-magnetic field theory is required.
  • Hands-on experience with MR scanner or NMR spectrometer is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer competency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and business specific software (e.g. ERP, eQMS, CAD).
  • Advanced competency using simulation tools such as SPICE, Matlab and HFSS.
  • Familiarity with lab tools such as network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, etc. is required.
