Job Title: Finishing Process Operator
Department: Finishing

Direct Report: Zone Coordinator

Location: B&G Foods - Cincinnati

The individual will be responsible for the operation of the process system at Crisco manufacturing plant. This system consists of several independent sub-systems that run in conjunction with one another to provide oil to packing lines for finished product.

Essential Duties:
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to consistently communicate with all
operators
Responsible for Updating Downtime Tracking Sheets
Ability to trace lines for Nitrogen and Water Systems
Knowledge of reading gauges
Understanding of Manufacturing Standards
Ability to trace lines for systems pertaining to Oil, Nitrogen and Water
including all the critical parameters
Must have strong computer skills for entering and charting data
Ability to troubleshoot
Familiarity or ability to gain knowledge of:
o Risk Predictions, PPE requirements, Chemical awareness, Valves, Tanks,
Mixing, Vacuum Pumps, 150# steam, Filters /Cartridges
o Lab related duties including Hunter Color, Beta Carotene, Brine PH and
specific gravity, and fume hoods
o Mechanically related understanding of Confined Space, Gearbox
replacement, troubleshooting techniques, rebuilding agitator and seals
and/ or agitation packing and reinstalling
o Understanding the differences between Centrifugal Pumps and Positive
Displacement Pumps
o Routine Maintenance skills
Skills & Abilities:
Electrically Related Understandings:
o Know and Understand Electrical Instrumentation
o Understand a process loop (P&ID Loop)
Strong Computer Skills:
o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and JD Edwards
Initiative and Follow Through:
o History of recognizing a problem (defects, loss areas), recommending a
solution
o History of effort and follow-through to deliver business results
Priority Setting:
o Examples of settings priorities under pressure to meet deadlines and
schedules
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team setting
