Job description

Lucifer Lighting Company is a privately held San Antonio-based designer and manufacturer of precision-engineered architectural lighting fixtures. You’ll find our products everywhere from SF MOMA to the Nike Headquarters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Float between Machine, Fab, and Paint shop and help with maintenance where needed.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical components.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Assist team members with routine daily equipment maintenance.
  • Inventory control of all maintenance tools and replacement parts.
  • Working independently or with additional team members to complete the task at hand.
  • Basic knowledge of common hand tools, grinders, various power tools, electric meters, etc.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals.
  • Ability to determine necessary tooling/parts needed to perform repair.
  • Skilled in the use of proper tooling to perform the maintenance task at hand.
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.
  • Excel in a fast-paced work environment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of experience in a shop environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade or technical school training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Adhere to all PPE requirements.
  • Manual dexterity and sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and crouching.
  • Visual acuity to complete precision machining and to read printed and electronic documents.
  • Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 50 pounds frequently and team lifting heavier items.
  • Frequent driving of motor vehicles or mobile equipment.
