Covalent Medical Management is conducting a confidential search for Radiologists for a forthcoming Radiology Services opportunity in Southwest Florida.
At this stage, we are identifying providers who may be open to learning more as additional details become available closer to launch. This is a private and strategic search process.

Remote Nighthawk Diagnostic Radiologist
100% Remote | Florida Licensed | 1099 Independent Contractor
Covalent Medical Management is conducting a confidential search for experienced Diagnostic Radiologists for a forthcoming hospital-based Radiology Services opportunity in Southwest Florida.
At this stage, we are identifying physicians who may be interested in establishing a long-term remote Nighthawk relationship as additional details become available closer to launch.
This is a private and strategic search process.
Compensation & Position Highlights

Daytime | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
$50 per wRVU

Early Morning | 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM
$60 per wRVU
Compensation is based on actual wRVU productivity during the assigned coverage period, with no compensation cap.
There is no guaranteed shift or daily payment unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Schedule

Technology & Remote Workflow
  • PACS: Novarad
  • Dragon Medical voice recognition/dictation
  • Secure remote access provided
  • Hospital imaging workflow and technical support available
  • Physician must maintain reliable high-speed internet connectivity
  • Physician must maintain an appropriate professional remote reading environment
  • Remote reading must comply with all applicable hospital security, HIPAA, privacy, and technology requirements
  • Remote workstation requirements will be coordinated as part of onboarding and system access
Clinical Responsibilities
The Diagnostic Radiologist will provide remote interpretation of hospital-based imaging studies during assigned after-hours coverage.
Expected case mix may include:
  • CT
  • MRI
  • X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Emergency Department studies
  • Inpatient studies
  • Routine diagnostic imaging
  • STAT imaging
The Radiologist will provide timely final interpretations and communicate critical, urgent, or unexpected findings in accordance with hospital policies and medical staff requirements.
No breast imaging or mammography coverage is required during Nighthawk coverage.
No onsite procedures or Interventional Radiology coverage are required during remote Nighthawk shifts.
Turnaround Time Expectations
  • STAT studies: Final interpretation within 1 hour
  • Routine studies completed within established hospital and departmental turnaround standards
  • Critical and urgent findings must be promptly communicated to the appropriate treating provider in accordance with hospital policy
  • Required documentation of critical-results communication must be completed within the applicable clinical system
Qualifications
Candidates must meet applicable hospital credentialing and privileging requirements, including:
  • MD or DO
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Active and unrestricted Florida medical license
  • Eligible for hospital medical staff privileges
  • Eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, and applicable commercial payer enrollment
  • Ability to successfully complete hospital credentialing and privileging
  • Comfortable interpreting Emergency Department and inpatient studies
  • Proficiency interpreting CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound
  • Ability to provide timely final interpretations in a remote environment
  • Ability to appropriately communicate critical and urgent findings
  • Professional and malpractice history acceptable for hospital credentialing
  • Must remain in good standing with applicable state and federal healthcare programs
Credentialing & Privileging
The selected physician will be required to successfully complete:
  • Hospital medical staff credentialing
  • Diagnostic Radiology privileges
  • Primary-source verification of medical education and residency training
  • Board certification/eligibility verification
  • Florida medical license verification
  • Malpractice and professional history review
  • Payer enrollment as required
  • Background verification
  • Professional reference requirements
  • Medicare/Medicaid eligibility verification
  • Applicable exclusion and sanctions screening
Credentialing and privileging must be successfully completed before the physician begins providing clinical services.
Projected Start: January-possibly sooner
Malpractice Coverage
  • $1 million per claim / $3 million aggregate
  • Professional liability coverage provided/paid
  • Tail coverage provided/paid

The Opportunity
