What are Nighthawk Radiology Services?

Nighthawk Radiology Services refer to after-hours or overnight radiology services provided by specialized radiologists, often remotely, to interpret medical imaging studies such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. These services are designed to support hospitals and clinics by ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic reports during nighttime or off-peak hours when in-house radiologists may not be available. Nighthawk radiologists typically work in different time zones or follow overnight shifts to provide continuous coverage, helping to speed up patient care and support emergency departments. Many healthcare facilities use Nighthawk services to maintain 24/7 radiology coverage, improve workflow, and enhance patient outcomes.
