Night Auditor/Front Desk

Status:Part-Time Hourly
Shift: Overnight (Typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Location: Wedmore Place at The Williamsburg Winery

Join our team at one of Virginia's most unique boutique hotels.

Wedmore Place is a charming 28-room European-inspired hotel nestled on the beautiful grounds of The Williamsburg Winery. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Night Auditor who enjoys working independently while creating exceptional guest experiences.

This is more than a traditional front desk position. The Night Auditor plays an important role in ensuring the hotel operates smoothly overnight while preparing the property for the next day's guests and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist late-night arriving guests with a warm, professional check-in experience.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and provide exceptional customer service throughout the overnight shift.
  • Complete nightly audit procedures, reports, and administrative tasks.
  • Balance daily financial transactions and prepare reports for management.
  • Answer phones, process reservations, and assist with guest inquiries.
  • Conduct routine walkthroughs of the hotel to ensure guest areas are clean, organized, and operating properly, reporting any maintenance or guest concerns to management.
  • Assist with laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
  • Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas as needed.
  • Prepare breakfast items and assist with breakfast setup for the morning team.
  • Restock housekeeping closets, guest amenities, and hotel supplies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby, breakfast room, hallways, and other common areas.
  • Work closely with housekeeping and management to ensure the hotel is prepared for the next day's arrivals.
  • Assist with additional hotel operations as needed to support overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate).
  • Comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning hotel reservation software.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including laundry, housekeeping, stocking supplies, and preparing breakfast.
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing outstanding guest service.
