Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) Associate to help ensure that only defect-free, high-quality wafers are delivered to our customers. In this role, you will be trained to verify that products conform to customer specifications, conduct final visual inspections, and follow established packaging and documentation standards.
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform final quality control checks to verify all product meets all requirements.
  • Perform wafer visual inspection and defect classification. Record results and follow recovery procedures when defects are found.
  • Package product per customer requirements.
  • Monitor fab environment quality items: particles, static charging, temperature, bacteria, and AMC monitors. Support other organizations as required.
  • Report any problems relating to the product, process or quality system. Provide suggestions for improvements and participate in improvement actions.

Requirements:
  • Meet all performance objectives including quality and productivity.
  • Work effectively as part of a team maintaining good communication. Exercise good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meet all training timelines. Proactively seek to understanding the basic principles as well as the specific requirements. Demonstrate good logical thinking skills.
  • Able to follow instructions and follow through with assigned tasks. Adhere to procedures and policies.
  • Demonstrate good eye/hand coordination and the ability to distinguish patterns based on color and texture to perform manual wafer inspection without damaging the product.
  • Possess basic computer proficiency including the use Microsoft Windows and MS Office programs. Quickly learn how to use job specific programs.
  • Flexible to change to meet company needs including working night shift as necessary.

TSMC Washington operates 24/7, 365 days a year. The shift structure is 4 days on/3 days off one week and 3 days on/4 days off the following week. Yep, that's 3 or 4 days off every week! TSMC Washington also provides 2 hours of meals and breaks for each 12-hour shift.
Starting wage is $22.25 per hour. Wage below includes hourly starting wage with built in overtime and shift differential.

Pay Transparency & Other Compensation:
At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting wage typically ranges between $22.25 and $24.44 per hour. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $22.25 and $26.15 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC's total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.

Employees and their families are offered access to comprehensive coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, our wellbeing program, as well as basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Additionally, employees can enroll in our 401(k) plan with an employer match and participate in the employee stock purchase program. Employees receive 12 recognized holidays per year and accrue 120 hours of paid time off annually their first year. Tuition Assistance Program up to $5,250 per year. Onsite amenities include a fitness center, a game room, on-site physical therapist, and a subsidized café where meals cost as low as $6 a day!
