Job Description Summary
The Statistical and Research Analyst II will enter/manage data in the Endocrine Surgery clinical databases, assist in drafting/submission of clinical research protocols (to Protocol Review Committee/IRB/etc), assist in data analysis, and assist in drafting/writing/submission of abstracts/manuscripts/grants.
Incumbent must be able to work independently or with limited supervision.

Job Description
Pay Range:
$39,300 - $53, 100 - $66,800 (min - mid - max)
Job Duties:
  • 35% - Collect/enter data into Endocrine Surgery clinical databases.
  • 20% - Assist with clinical studies, which are sporadic and limited, including testing of new systems to be used intraoperatively.
  • 20% - Assist in drafting/submission/maintenance of clinical research protocols: applications to MUSC Protocol Review Committee (PRC) and MUSC IRB, PRC and IRB progress reports and renewals, and others as needed.
  • 10% - Update and maintain IRB protocols and research databases.
  • 5% - Assistance with data analysis for clinical research projects.
  • 5% - Assistance with drafting/writing/submission of abstracts/manuscripts/grants for clinical research projects.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned.

Additional Knowledge, Skill and Ability Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or clinical research preferred. A master's degree would be helpful. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software (SATA, SPSS, SAS, etc).

A high school diploma and two years work experience as a Statistical and Research Analyst I.. A bachelor's degree with mathematics and/or statistics courses may be substituted for the required work experience.
