JOB TITLE: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
LOCATION: Bend, Oregon
TYPE: Full-Time
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE: Day, Swing & Night Shifts
PAY: $25-$27/hour (depending on shift)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere that upholds client dignity and respect.
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Encourage and support clients in achieving personal goals, fostering independence, and participating in their community
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks to promote a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Oversee medication administration and documentation
  • Transport clients to community outings and recreational activities as needed.
  • Monitor and document changes in clients' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Ensure safety, adhere to protocols, and foster independence.

  • Independently perform duties of the DSP position effectively and efficiently

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED required
  • Age: Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Background checks: Criminal history (ORCHARDS), and driving background clearance required
  • Physical ability: Able to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Communication & interpersonal skills: Clear, empathetic, patient, adaptable, and organized
  • Preferred certifications: CPR/First Aid, Oregon Intervention System (OIS), and Oregon Tier 1 and 2 core competencies or willingness to receive all essential training as required

WAGES
DSP staff will be assigned a primary recurring shift at the time of hire; however, all DSP employees must be willing and available to work alternative shifts (day, swing, or night) as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Alternative shift assignments may occur in response to callouts, emergencies, or operational needs and will be compensated accordingly.
Day Shift: $25/hour
Night Shift: $27/hour (includes $2/hour differential)
Significant changes to an employee's regular schedule, work location, or assignment will be communicated with at least two weeks' notice whenever possible.
