Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) – Night Shift

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana

Position Summary

A leading hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its night shift team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse acute care population while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients on a Medical/Surgical unit.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.

  • Monitor patient conditions, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices.

QualificationsRequired
  • Canadian citizenship.
