Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP/APRN) or (RRA/RPA) – Radiology – Abdominal Radiology – Instructor

Department: Radiology – Abdominal Radiology. This is a full‑time faculty position at the rank of Instructor as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant in the Diagnostic Division.

The Department of Radiology has an opening for a full‑time faculty member in the Diagnostic Division, at the rank of Instructor as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant. UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital is a community hospital with more than 147 beds in the south suburbs of Denver, focusing on Oncology, Women's Services, Heart and Vascular and other service lines.

Location

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite at Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO. This position may also rotate to the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various diagnostic procedures and exams as well as assist the radiologists in performing exams
• Work in conjunction with physicians
• Responsible for providing clinical imaging services
• Perform imaging procedures according to established protocols under direct supervision and when necessary in the personal supervision of a radiologist
• Fluoroscopic GI and GU examinations
• Fluoroscopic and/or US‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal injections/aspirations
• Perform thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture
• Participate in teaching and training of residents and fellows
• Consult on work in progress and completed work to assure accuracy
• Provide physician‑prescribed post‑care instructions to patients
• Participate in the quality assurance program to conform to federal, state, local, and hospital regulations and guidelines
• Work effectively with patients, co‑workers, residents, physicians, and supervisors

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) or Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA); or
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with fluoroscopy privileges/credentials
• Board certification required upon hire:
• Radiology Practitioner Assistant (CBRPA)
• Board Certified Registered Radiologist Assistant (AART)
• PA/NP certified

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range for this position has been established as $107,000 to $137,000. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non‑exempt.
