Job Description:
The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates to join its Community Radiology Group as full-time night service radiologists, servicing its Regional Health Network. Ideal radiologists should be able to perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services.
Job Duties
Thoroughly reviews medical images including but not limited to X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other modalities to identify abnormalities and diagnose medical conditions.
Must be comfortable reading routine ER and overnight STAT inpatient exams.
Writing comprehensive reports clearly outlining findings, diagnoses, and any necessary follow-up actions for referring physicians.
Providing timely communication of findings to referring physicians, including discussing critical results and answering any questions they may have.
Evaluating and prioritizing emergent cases that may arise during overnight shifts, working within expected TATs.
MUSC Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree, be ABR Board-certified and fellowship trained, have experience in all aspects of general radiology and must be able to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license to be considered.

(Infrequent) Ability to lower objects, up to 15 lbs., from height of 36 inches to floor level, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Frequent) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Frequent) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
