Nursing Support Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend

Job Summary

Works with and under a Registered Nurse (RN) to help care for patients. Supports patient comfort, safety, and daily needs.

Key Duties

  • Help patients with bathing, eating, walking, and personal care
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Answer call lights and check on patients often
  • Watch for changes in patient condition and report to the nurse
  • Help with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Collect and transport lab specimens
  • Keep patient rooms and care areas clean and stocked
  • Follow safety, infection control, and privacy rules
  • Be kind and respectful to patients, families, and coworkers
