Position Summary: The Custodianis responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of the store, adhering to organizational and customer standards.
Hourly Rate: $17.13 per hour
Schedule: Graveyard shift - start time between 4pm and 7pm, finishing between 12am and 3am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Custodian responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:
Cleaning & Sanitization:
- Floors: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and occasionally shampooing carpets or buffing hard floors using industrial equipment.
- Restrooms: Disinfecting and cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing hygiene supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- General Spaces: Dusting furniture, wiping down tables, cleaning windows, and taking out recycling and trash
- Break room: empty trash and recycling, wipe down flat surfaces, restock soap and paper dispensers (ensure fridge/freezer contents are up to the store to clean out or dispose)
Routine Maintenance & Repairs:
- Equipment: Cleaning and servicing custodial equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor buffers) to keep them in working order
- Reporting: Identifying and reporting larger maintenance issues or structural damage to management
- Truck/Van: Keep vehicle and trailer clean and report any issues to management
Safety & Security:
- Hazards: Removing snow and ice from exterior walkways and salting paths to prevent slips
- Protocols: Strictly following chemical safety and hazardous material guidelines (such as SDS/OSHA standards).
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Experience in custodial cleaning environment
- Training and understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
- Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus

Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.

Physical Demands:Including but not limited to working on ladders, lifts, and/or scaffolding, operating hand tools and equipment including vacuums, ops, floor polishers/cleaners, working indoors/outdoors in all types of weather, and working with cleaning and other related chemicals.
Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts, with fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals, under outdoor weather conditions, and with risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
