YARD OPERATOR - NIGHT SHIFT
Job Details
Full Time / Part Time: Full Time
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Business Unit: Chemistry
Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Description
Select Chemistry's Yard Operator will monitor company grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other loss of company property. The operator will also be responsible for staging deliveries, packaging product in the yard, inspections and general duties in accordance with safety policies, procedures and governmental regulations.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
  • Monitors entrances and exits preventing unapproved or unlawful entry.
  • Patrols site on foot or in vehicles.
  • Greets and directs visitors, provides temporary visitor IDs, and maintains a visitors log.
  • Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the post.
  • Routine facility maintenance activities.
  • Perform general housekeeping actions to maintain facility integrity.
  • Demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and be able to lead, coach and promote a safety culture that aligns with company.
  • Special duties as assigned.

  • Experience performing warehouse duties, which include preventative maintenance duties, receiving incoming shipments, organizing warehouse for safe and efficient chemical storage and the upkeep of warehouse grounds.
  • Understands container labeling and associated product hazards.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Physical Demands and Exposures
  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
