Job description

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor- Night who is responsible for supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Location: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama

What You’ll Do

Assisting Inventory Control & Logistics Manager with hiring and training of new employees.

  • Scheduling and overseeing warehouse staff. 
  • Conduct physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory as it is delivered. 
  • Prioritizing daily work for the team based on production needs. 
  • Resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. 
  • Replenishing stock and inventory as needed.
  • Ensuring that all stock is stored in the correct location in the warehouse. 
  • Scheduling material being picked for internal and external processes. 
  • Collaborating with the Inventory Control & Logistics Manager to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices. 
  • Enforce operating instructions and safety policies. 
  • Performing other related duties assigned.

What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred. 
  • 2+ years of Propane Forklift experience required.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, policies, and procedures
  • Proven ability to lead, direct, and develop employees
  • Proficiency with data entry and inventory software and systems.
  • Experience with personnel decisions including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions

Competencies/Skills

  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical skills with a high-level of attention to detail and business process
  • Strong skills in developing and presenting performance metrics reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data
  • Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including preparing and presenting information
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed
  • WMS experience and knowledge preferred
  • ERP system knowledge (JD Edwards preferred)
