Job Title: CRM Data Specialists.

Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI 48326

Duration: 3 Months. (Extension Possible)


 

Job Description:

·         This role is primarily data enrichment, data consolidation, and CRM completeness role—no outbound, cold-calling or inbound sales. The right person will be curious, persistent, and willing to “sleuth” through Salesforce, and other sources, to create a true company and account profile (including an account hierarchy) that sales teams can confidently act on.

·         Enjoys research, investigation, pattern recognition, and connecting scattered pieces of information.

·         We are looking for a detail-oriented CRM Data Specialist (short-term) to help build a more complete, accurate, and actionable view of customers, accounts, and contacts within the construction materials and building products industry.

 

Key areas of accountability/responsibility

 

Customer Research and Data Enrichment:

·         Research companies, accounts, contacts, job roles, locations, and relationships to strengthen customer records in Salesforce.

·         Investigate missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent customer information using Salesforce data, internal notes, web research, and other available tools.

·         Connect related accounts, contacts, to help sales understand the full customer picture.

·         Document findings clearly so sales representatives can quickly determine who the customer is.

 

Salesforce CRM Stewardship

·         Update customer, account, contact, information in Salesforce.

·         Use Salesforce as a primary research source, reviewing account ownership, notes and existing data quality issues.

·         Improve CRM completeness by filling gaps in firm name, location, customer type, contact role information.

·         Flag data discrepancies, duplicates, stale records, unclear ownership, and records requiring sales follow-up or further validation.

 

Construction Customer Intelligence

·         Research construction-related influencers such as contractors, builders, architects, developers, and project influencers.

·         Summarize findings in a concise, practical way that helps the business move forward with robust and accurate data.

·         Collaborate with DCX, sales, marketing teams to improve customer visibility, CRM usability.

 

Required Experience:

·         Must have Salesforce Experience

·         1–3+ years of experience in data entry, research, CRM administration/support, sales operations, customer operations, construction administration, or a related role.

·          Experience researching companies, contacts, or customer records in a CRM or structured database environment preferred.

·         High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or experience in business, sales, construction management, or related fields is a plus.

Skills and Tools:

·         Salesforce CRM experience is highly preferred; the ability to navigate accounts, contacts, reports, and related records is a plus.

·         Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, web research, and comfort working across multiple systems.

·         Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize research findings clearly for a sales audience.

·         High attention to detail and accuracy when entering, cleaning, validating, and connecting customer data.

 

Preferred Construction Knowledge:

·         Understanding of project-based sales cycles, contractor and distributor relationships.

·         Ability to learn building product applications, construction terminology, customer segments

·         Comfort asking discovery questions of subject matter experts.
